Canadian Curriculum
For Canada, the curriculum is developed by the provincial and territorial governments so each region is responsible for its own. Schooling is compulsory from the ages six to eighteen, and divided into three main levels: elementary, middle—also referred to as junior high—and secondary, or high school. Each province and territory prescribes mandatory subjects which include English, French (offered in many regions), math, science, physical education, and social studies.
In Canada, education is the responsibility of the provincial and territorial governments.
